I am wrestling with whether to keep these or return them. They are cute, and comfortable BUT not the level of comfort of my other Alegrias, and not as supportive, and... no traction. They are like a tennis sneaker, but nicer than average. Given that they cost substantially more than average, and is a real departure for those who know Alegria, I am disappointed. If I needed a tennis sneaker I would not feel bad about keeping them, but what I need is traction. Where I live it is very wet, frequently muddy, often slippery. This is the first pair of Alegrias I have gotten with no traction! Also, I am not a fan of the chip, will never use it. My daughter (who generally is less disturbed by privacy issues than I am) called it creepy. Some may like it, but I am not a fan. I stopped wearing 'smart' watches when they turned into fitness watches, with monitoring software which could not be turned off. I personally do not find counting steps a good enough reason to allow tracking, all the time.Alegria sizing is all over the place. I wear a size 9.5 and have worn anywhere from 39 (Belle) to 41 (classic clog) in Alegria. I got these in a 9.5 and they are a bit large, not a full size, but large. I have normal to slim feet... and have been thrown off frequently when people fail to include that information. They do seem well made, but I have only worn them for a minute, and am still undecided as to whether or not I am keeping them, because I do want the traction, and the support.
